Parkland seniors decorate graduation caps in honor of classmates killed in shooting
Graduating seniors at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School honored their classmates killed in the February shooting with decorated mortarboards.
Four of the students killed in the attack would have walked in Sunday’s ceremony.
Carly Ogozaly, whose best friend, Meadow Pollack, died in the shooting, shared a photo of her cap honoring Pollack with CNN.
“We are still in this together,” the cap read, next to a photo of Pollack.

“Nick, Joaquin, Meadow and Carmen are not graduating with us but they are with us in spirit,” one student wrote on Twitter, naming the four seniors killed. “Today is for them.”

{mosads}David Hogg, who has become one of the most nationally recognized Parkland survivors in the conversation on gun control, covered his mortarboard in orange, the color representing gun-control advocacy.
Hogg also added a price tag as a tassel, to call out Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) for accepting donations from the National Rifle Association. Hogg introduced the price tags at the March For Our Lives.
