GOP House candidate: If anyone treated my daughter the way Trump treats women, I’d ‘use my Second Amendment’
A Republican congressional candidate in Oklahoma said he would “use my Second Amendment” if a man ever treated his daughter the way President Trump treats women.
“We like President Trump because he says what he says and he means what he says,” Danny Stockstill, a Republican candidate running for a seat in the 1st Congressional District in Tulsa said during a forum Tuesday night, Tulsa World reported.
“So why are we so afraid to say, ‘There’s no way I want my son to act like [Trump]?’ ” Stockstill continued. “If my daughter ever dates a man who treated her like he treats women, I’m going to use my Second Amendment. If I ever find out my son has treated women the way he has, I don’t care how old [my son] is, I’m going to come down on him.
“If we can’t stand up and say out loud, ‘I disagree with President Trump in the way he treats people,’ shame on us.”

The Tulsa World reported that Stockstill’s comments were met with a mix of applause, grumbles and silence. One person said “shame on you.”
The Republican candidate’s remarks were in response to a question he was asked about whether he considered Trump a good role model for children.
The publication noted that the other Republican candidates participating in the forum said that it was up to parents to be role models for their children and not the president. But Stockstill had a different response.
“I despise the fact he thinks it’s OK to have an affair with a porn star, pay her off and pretend like it doesn’t matter,” Stockstill said. “It’s one thing to say we don’t have one man and one woman anymore, but for us to say it’s OK to have one man and five women is a disgrace.”
“We’ve got to separate,” the Southern Baptist minister continued. “He is not a role model. Is he a good president so far? I think he’s doing a pretty good job. Is he a role model for my kids? Not as long as I’m alive.”
More than a dozen women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Adult-film actress Stormy Daniels went public with claims that she had an affair with Trump in 2006. She is suing Trump to void a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement that she signed in the weeks leading up to the presidential election.
