Tim Kaine: Trump administration full of ‘crybabies’

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) says President Trump’s attacks on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau show that his administration is full of “crybabies.”

“The Trump administration is filled with people with glass jaws who they love to punch people, but if somebody punches back? They just can’t believe it. They’re crybabies,” Kaine told The Washington Post on Tuesday.

“President Trump can name-call everybody all day long. And somebody gets in his face a little bit and they melt into a pool of lukewarm water.”

The Democratic Party’s 2016 vice presidential nominee added that “the scuffle over the weekend shows how weak the administration is.”

Trudeau said during a news conference after the Group of Seven (G-7) summit on Saturday that it was “kind of insulting” that the U.S. implemented steel and aluminum tariffs against his country on the basis of national security. Trudeau also pledged to impose retaliatory tariffs against the U.S., and added that Canada “will not be pushed around.”

Trump fired back at Trudeau on Twitter, saying that the U.S. would not sign the joint communique signed by the other nations at the G-7 summit.

“Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!” the president tweeted.

{mosads}Peter Navarro, the White House National Trade Council director, slammed the Canadian leader over his remarks on trade Sunday, saying there is a “special place in hell” for any leader who engages in bad faith diplomacy with Trump.

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow also ripped Trudeau for “double-crossing” Trump with his comments on Sunday.

“He was polarizing. He really kind of stabbed us in the back,” Kudlow said, adding that Trudeau “did a great disservice to the whole G-7.”
