Ex-GOP lawmaker: Every Republican privately admits Trump lies all the time but is afraid to say it publicly

Former Republican congressman Joe Walsh (Ill.) said Sunday that every Republican privately admits the president lies all the time but is afraid to say it publicly. 

“Every single Republican in the House & in the Senate knows, and privately admits, that this President lies all the time,” Walsh, who is now a conservative talk radio host, wrote on Twitter.

“And every single one of these Republicans is afraid to acknowledge it publicly,” Walsh said. “The Republican Party will pay a price for this cowardice.”

Walsh backed Trump during his campaign but has also offered some criticism of the president.

He blasted Trump last year after Democratic leaders in Congress said the president agreed to work towards a deal to protect young immigrants without legal status from being deported.

He also criticized the president in February for not condemning Russia after charges were brought against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups for allegedly interfering in the 2016 presidential election.
