Dem pollster: Mueller will pay attention to stories about Trump in tell-all books

Democratic pollster Anna Greenberg says special counsel Robert Mueller will be paying close attention to details from tell-all books on President Trump.

“I just wonder to what degree do these revelations from books help Mueller,” Greenberg told Hill.TV’s Krystal Ball on “What America’s Thinking” on Monday.

“They’re not going to do much with your average voter, but I wonder to the extent that things are revealed through the various different sources, whether it’s Michael Cohen, and the things he’s said and [White House counsel] Don [McGahn] doing 30 hours of interviews, and these books,” she continued, referring to a report that McGahn had been cooperating with Mueller’s team.

“I think Mueller’s paying incredibly close attention to every single piece of information that comes out about this White House. That’s the thing, especially with the Bob Woodward book that’s coming out. That’s what I would be nervous about,” she said.

Greenberg’s comments come as former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman promotes her new book “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” which details her time in the Trump administration.

Manigault Newman makes a series of accusations in the book, including claiming that Trump is mentally declining and that he used the N-word during the filming of “The Apprentice.”

Woodward is in the process of writing a book titled “Fear: Trump in the White House,” which will detail the inner workings of the White House under Trump.
