Omarosa celebrates second week on bestsellers list despite ‘hit-pieces’ from Trump allies
Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman on Monday celebrated her tell-all memoir remaining at the top of The New York Times bestsellers list for the second week, claiming it came despite “hit-pieces” from President Trump and conservative media.
“Exciting news!! Just found out I am #1 on the New York Times Best Sellers list for a 2nd week in a row!” Manigault Newman tweeted. “Even with all the hit-pieces from #45 and his crew! Thanks everyone for all of your support!”
The former Trump aide shared screenshots of articles from sites such as Fox News and Breitbart claiming that her book sales were “tanking.”

{mosads}“Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House ” came out at No. 1 on both the Times’ print hardcover and the combined list for print and e-book sales late last month.
Sales for the book reportedly spiked after Trump began attacking his former aide on Twitter, calling her a “dog” and labeling her “Wacky Omarosa.”
The book jumped from the No. 17 spot on Amazon’s constantly updating list to No. 2 after Trump tweeted about the book and his attorneys threatened the publisher, CNN reported.
The highly-anticipated book included several allegations against Trump, including accusing him of being a racist and a misogynist and claiming that he repeatedly used the N-word on the set of “The Apprentice.”
The White House has denied the allegations and has accused the fired aide of making up stories to drive book sales.
