Cindy McCain Perplexed by Michelle Obama’s Statement

Cindy McCain said on “Good Morning America” Thursday that she’s not sure what Michelle Obama meant when she said, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country.”

McCain said she wasn’t insulted, but added: “I don’t know where — why she said that. You know, everyone has their own experience. I don’t know why she said what she said.”

She also deflected a question of whether she would feel safe with Barack Obama as president and made the case for women to vote for John McCain in November.
