Kavanaugh says he’s willing to testify on woman’s allegation
The federal judge said he would speak to the Judiciary panel “in any way the committee deems appropriate” in order to “defend my integrity.”
Christine Blasey Ford, a California-based academic, went public on Sunday with her accusation that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and tried to pull off her clothes during a high school party in the 1980s.
Ford’s attorney said earlier Monday that her client is also willing to testify publicly about the charges.
Despite denials from Kavanaugh and the White House, several senators have voiced concerns about moving ahead with the nomination before hearing from Ford.
