Graham has said multiple times that he is not interested in serving in Trump’s Cabinet. At The Atlantic Festival last week, he said Trump has offered him multiple Cabinet positions that he turned down.
Graham is up for reelection in 2020.
The South Carolina senator was one of the most forceful GOP voices to emerge during the brutal battle over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation battle. Graham accused Democrats of seeking to destroy the judge’s life as they focused attention on the three sexual misconduct allegations that roiled Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Graham presents himself as a Trump ally in the Senate, often expressing support for the president and his agenda.
