Fox & Friends mocks ‘The Alec Baldwin Show’ for low ratings, tying with ‘Spanish-speaking’ Univision

Hosts of the Fox News show “Fox & Friends” took aim at actor Alec Baldwin on Tuesday over the ratings for the premiere of his new ABC talk show, “The Alec Baldwin Show.”

Co-host Brian Kilmeade mocked Baldwin on Tuesday morning after the show’s premiere Sunday night became the lowest-ranked show in the demo on any broadcast network that night among the key 18-49 demographic, according to Entertainment Weekly.

{mosads}”Here comes the best news by the numbers ever. First, 0.4. That’s the minuscule ratings for liberal actor Alec Baldwin’s new talk show in the 18-49 coveted demographic,” Kilmeade said. “He’s in a dead heat with Univision, which is Spanish-speaking.”

The Sunday premiere of Baldwin’s show, which featured interviews with actors Taraji P. Henson and Robert De Niro, saw 2.2 million people tune in. More viewers tuned in to reruns of The Simpsons on Fox and CBS’ “Madam Secretary,” according to ratings data compiled by Entertainment Weekly.

Baldwin has made several TV appearances as a guest on Saturday Night Live portraying President Trump during the late night sketch show’s political segments.

The president has widely panned Baldwin’s politically charged appearances, tweeting in March that the actor’s “dying mediocre career” had been saved by his work as an impressionist on the show.

“Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony,” Trump wrote at the time. “Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!”
