Quote from Ford’s testimony spray-painted on Yale Law School entrance

A quote from Christine Blasey Ford’s Senate testimony against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was spray-painted outside the entrance to Yale Law School before being removed later on Monday.

Former reporter and current Yale Law student Laurel Raymond posted a photo of the quote on Monday morning.

“Indelible in the hippocampus is the laughter …” was written on the concrete in paint.

Another Twitter user, Tom Jawetz, posted in the afternoon that the paint was no longer there.

Yale Law School did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The quote appears to reference Ford’s testimony last month before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding her sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.{mosads}

Ford said Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and groped her during a party in the 1980s when they were both high school students. She also claimed that Kavanaugh’s friend, Mark Judge, was present for the alleged incident, and that both of the teenage boys were laughing.

Ford, a professor of psychology, was asked by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) during her testimony to recall her “strongest memory” from the alleged assault.

“Indelible in the hippocampus is the laughter, the uproarious laughter between the two and they’re having fun at my expense,” Ford said. 

“You’ve never forgotten that laughter?” Leahy asked. “Never forgotten them laughing at you?”

“I was underneath one of them while the two laughed,” Ford said. “Two friends having a really good time with one another.”

Kavanaugh, a graduate of Yale Law school, was also accused by another former student of sexual misconduct.

Deborah Ramirez, the second woman to come forward with accusations against Kavanaugh, said Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a dorm party at Yale University in the 1980s.

Kavanaugh has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

As many as 900 women who graduated from Yale University signed an open letter supporting Ramirez prior to Kavanaugh’s confirmation earlier this month.

Students of the law school staged a sit-in last month calling for an investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh.

Yale Law School Dean Heather Gerken said in a statement last month that the accusations against Kavanaugh are “rightly causing deep concern” at the institution.
