White van identified in connection with mail bombings suspect covered in pro-Trump stickers

The white van identified in connection with the suspect in a series of suspected explosive packages mailed to prominent Democrats is covered in pro-Trump stickers, according to footage of the vehicle.

Footage obtained by CNN showed the van plastered with stickers bearing President Trump’s name and the presidential seal, in addition to other stickers bearing phrases like “CNN SUCKS” and “dishonest media.”

Law enforcement personnel could be seen in news footage covering the van with a blue tarp after seizing it from a South Florida parking lot and later loading the vehicle onto a truck before transporting it to a local FBI field office.

{mosads}News footage then showed the van stop on the highway after the tarp began to fly off, revealing the pro-Trump and anti-media stickers that were quickly covered back up by law enforcement personnel who were traveling with the van.

Some of the stickers also showed the faces of Hillary Clinton, CNN host Van Jones and film director Michael Moore with red targets on them.

The footage came shortly after multiple outlets reported that federal authorities arrested suspect Cesar Sayoc in connection with the series of mailed explosives sent to prominent Democratic figures this week. The Sun Sentinel and The New York Times reported that the van belonged to Sayoc, whom multiple news organizations described as a man in his fifties with an Aventura, Fla., address. Sayoc reportedly has a criminal history and ties to New York.

The man was arrested near Plantation, Fla., in the district represented by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D). Wasserman Schultz’s office was listed as a return address on several of the packages targeting Democratic figures this week. She said she was “disgusted” that hers was listed as the return address earlier this week.

The news comes as federal authorities continue to search for other potential pipe bombs and suspicious packages being sent to prominent Democrats, Trump critics and media outlets.
