Watch live: Biden discusses economic agenda

President Biden is delivering remarks on his economic policies Friday during an appearance at the Port of Philadelphia. 

The president is expected to highlight a $7 billion plan to develop regional centers for hydrogen energy production. The White House foresees tens of thousands of jobs and $40 billion in private-sector investment growing out of the program.

The administration hails the increased use of hydrogen as a clean power source. Environmentalists caution, however, that it will only move the energy sector in the right direction if the production is efficient and doesn’t add to fossil fuel pollution.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. EDT.
