Jon Stewart to appear on Fox News to push for ‘Never Forget The Heroes’ 9/11 responders act

Former Comedy Central host Jon Stewart will appear on Fox News on Monday for an interview to introduce the “Never Forget The Heroes” fund act designed to help 9/11 responders.

Stewart, who hosted the popular political satire news program “The Daily Show” from 1999 to 2015, will join “America’s Newsroom” co-anchor Sandra Smith, and be joined by John Feal, who serves as 9/11 demolition supervisor, at the network’s Washington, D.C., location along with 9/11 first responders.

{mosads}The network said in a statement that the interview “will preview the bipartisan effort, Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act, which they will unveil later that afternoon.”

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) is scheduled to hold a press conference in Washington, along with Stewart and Feal, to introduce the bill.

The bipartisan legislation seeks to ensure all 9/11 first responders and survivors who have been impacted after being exposed to toxins at Ground Zero and have certified illnesses from the exposure will receive full compensation through the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund through the year 2090.

Stewart last appeared on Fox News in September to discuss legislative efforts around 9/11 responders in an interview with anchor Shepard Smith.
