Conspiracy theorist Jacob Wohl banned from Twitter for creating fake accounts

Twitter announced on Tuesday it has permanently suspended conspiracy theorist Jacob Wohl after the social media giant accused him of creating fake accounts and committing “multiple violations” of its rules.

“The account was suspended for multiple violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically creating and operating fake accounts,” reads the announcement of the suspension of the 21-year-old Wohl.

{mosads}In October, Wohl made national headlines after claiming he had proof through “an intelligence firm” that Special Counsel head Robert Mueller had sexually assaulted an unnamed woman.

The intelligence firm was quickly found to be a phone number registered to his mother, while
the document Wohl provided consisted of a slew of inaccuracies.

The Mueller scheme also relied on Carolyne Cass, 34, accusing Mueller of sexual assault.

The story further fell apart after she didn’t appear at a press conference Wohl had arranged on Nov. 1.

Cass told USA Today she was tricked into taking part in Wohl’s plan, which is being investigated by the FBI.

Wohl’s account, which was used to spread wild conspiracy theories including one in January that claimed Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had secretly died, had more than 185,000 followers before being banned.
