Cardi B knocks Trump, says she’ll ‘always go with Bernie’
Musician Cardi B swiped at President Trump in a recent interview while lauding Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as he gears up for 2020.
When asked by Variety in a brief interview about what she would say if she could text Trump or contact him on social media, the singer responded: “I hate him.”
“I hate him,” she repeated, adding while laughing: “I don’t even wanna get political, you know what I’m saying? I have a court case.”{mosads}
Variety also pressed the rapper about who she plans to support in the coming presidential election.
“I don’t know,” she began. “You know, Imma always go with Bernie.”
Asked to explain her support, she said that “Bernie don’t say things to be cool. Like, there’s pictures of him being an activist from a very, very, very long time [ago].”

However, Cardi B also expressed interest in Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), who is also running for president in 2020.
“I was watching the news, and I saw this guy named Tim Ryan. And his speech was very convincing to me,” Cardi B said.
“He really wants to give the United States free health care, so that’s a big plus. We need health care. So I don’t know. We’ll see,” she added.
Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, has repeatedly weighed in on politics by voicing support for Democrats or going after the Trump administration.
Earlier this year she sounded off on Trump’s proposed border wall and released a video in January criticizing Trump for the weeks-long partial government shutdown.
