Trump easily wins Missouri GOP caucus
Former President Trump was projected to win Missouri’s Republican presidential caucus, notching another win to his list of victories so far, according to a projection by Decision Desk HQ.
Trump appears to be on a clear path to clinching the GOP nomination later this month as he has swept every primary and caucus in the party’s nominating process so far. His win in the Show Me State will net him most of the state’s 54 delegates.
Trump will need to attain at least 1,215 delegates to mathematically clinch the Republican nomination. He has already racked up more than 100 with his victories in the half dozen contests that have been held so far.
His last remaining major opponent for the nomination, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, had only gotten two dozen heading into Saturday’s elections.
Trump celebrated the win in a message on Truth Social Saturday.
“THANK YOU, MISSOURI! Together, WE are going to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” he wrote.
