Qlarant, a company that handles integrity and compliance issues with health care programs, hired MJ Simon & Company to work on Medicare, Medicaid and Veterans Affairs program integrity issues. Marsha Simon, former Democratic staff director on the Senate Appropriations labor and health and human services subcommittee, and Karen Late, former director of federal advocacy for the Florida Hospital Association, will work on the account.

TRANSPORTATION. New Mexico-based aerial firefighting service provider 10 Tanker Air Carrier hired Collective Communications to develop a working relationship with Congress, educate lawmakers on the work of the company, and in the future lobby on issues that could include federal government contracting. The firm’s owner, Phil Hardy, will work on the account.
