Dylan Dreyer announces her second baby on ‘Today’
“Today” meteorologist Dylan Dreyer is expecting a baby boy, months after revealing that she had suffered a miscarriage.
The third hour “Today” co-host revealed her baby news on Wednesday with an announcement on NBC’s morning program. Dreyer’s 2-year-old son, Calvin, helped share his mom’s big news by showing a photo of her sonogram featuring his future younger sibling.
“It’s been an emotional journey,” Dreyer told her “Today” co-hosts.
{mosads}“I opened up about my infertility, and my secondary infertility, and just surgeries I’ve had to have. And the day I was going to start my IVF … the doctor calls and says, ‘Don’t take anything. You’re pregnant,’” Dreyer, 37, said of the challenges she faced with husband Brian Fichera.
The weather anchor tearfully talked about her fertility struggles in April after having her first child, saying, “I am blessed with a family what I have. But going through a miscarriage and not knowing what the future holds is emotional.”
Dreyer is due in January.
