Jimmy Kimmel mocks Trump as ‘great white supremacist’
Jimmy Kimmel went after former President Trump on his show Wednesday night, mocking Trump’s legal challenges and money problems.
“The great white supremacist has until Monday to come up with a $464 million bond, or the state may seize and sell his property,” Kimmel said on his late-night show, referring to the crunch the former president faces over a bond due next week related to his loss in a civil fraud case in New York.
Trump’s lawyers this week said he does not have the cash to pay the bond, which is growing by the day because of interest, and Trump argued in a Truth Social post this week that the state was effectively forcing him to do a “fire sale” of his properties to come up with the money.
Kimmel offered some jokes on the matter.
“Something tells me over the weekend, Trump’s going to start talking about how strong Vladimir Putin is, and suddenly a dump truck full of rubles will pull up and cover this for him,” Kimmel joked, referring to the Russian president.
“But of course the real loser here is Melania,” he said of Trump’s wife, former first lady Melania Trump.
“She may end up with half of the nothing he owns now. I hope she got an advance on that prenup, because if you think she hates him now, wait until he’s poor,” Kimmel said.
Kimmel and Trump have repeatedly feuded over the years, but the current battle hit a new high during this month’s Oscars ceremony, which the ABC late-night personality hosted. Kimmel read a quote from Trump criticizing his performance as host live on-air, before laying into the ex-president in front of the room of Hollywood luminaries.
The Hill has reached out to a spokesperson for Trump.
