Buckingham Palace: Any suggestion Prince Andrew was involved in Epstein scandal ‘abhorrent’

The British royal family on Monday rejected any suggestion that Prince Andrew was involved in alleged sex crimes related to Jeffrey Epstein. 

“The Duke of York has been appalled by the recent reports of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged crimes. His Royal Highness deplores the exploitation of any human being and the suggestion he would condone, participate in or encourage any such behavior is abhorrent,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement, according to multiple reports.

Epstein died of apparent suicide earlier this month in a Manhattan jail where he was held on sex trafficking charges. {mosads}

British media outlets, including the Daily Mail, on Sunday published images of Prince Andrew purportedly inside the financier’s Manhattan mansion in 2010, waving goodbye to a woman. 

The images were reportedly taken two years after Epstein pleaded guilty to a Florida state felony prostitution charge and became a registered sex offender. 

Prince Andrew reportedly has denied that he had sex with a teenage girl who alleges he had sex with her multiple times at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion. 

A judge ordered the allegations by the woman, Virginia Roberts, to be struck from the record as “immaterial and impertinent,” the Daily Mail reports. 

President Trump and former President Clinton are among Epstein’s circle of former friends and acquaintances who have also denied any connection to Epstein’s alleged sex crimes.
