Police respond to stabbing at Capitol South Metro
Authorities are responding to what police said was a stabbing that shut down the Capitol South Metro station on Friday afternoon near the Capitol.
The Metro Transit Police Department, Metropolitan Police Department, U.S. Capitol Police and D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene.
{mosads}A Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson told The Hill that the victim is a juvenile male and he was unconscious and not breathing after suffering a stab wound.
The Metro’s Orange, Blue and Silver lines were bypassing the station as police responded to the stabbing, with Metro officials urging people to use the nearby Eastern Market or Federal Center Southwest stations until Capitol South reopened.
