Senate Democrat: Colleague was working on fantasy football trade instead of listening to Schumer
Sens. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) had a friendly feud on Twitter Tuesday after Murphy tattled on his Democratic colleague for working on a fantasy football trade during a party leadership meeting.
“Heads up @SenSchumer — while you were giving your opening remarks at the Democratic leadership meeting this morning, @brianschatz was working on a fantasy football trade on his phone,” Murphy tweeted. “I, on the other hand, was paying closer attention (when I wasn’t sending out this tweet).”{mosads}

Hours later, Schatz replied, “I honestly cannot believe you did this.”

Murphy quipped back with a GIF of actor Robert Downey Jr.

The two senators have jokingly debated on Twitter before; in January, they had a back-and-forth over whether to retweet a profane video rapper Cardi B had posted criticizing President Trump over the government shutdown and ordering workers back to work without pay.
