Impeachment viewership drops for Day 3 of hearings as 11.4M tune in

The third day of public impeachment hearings was watched by about 12 million viewers on Tuesday, a fall from the previous two days of testimony, according to Nielsen Media Research. 
 
The viewership number for Tuesday’s sessions represented a drop of 700,000 viewers from Day 2 proceedings last Friday and a decrease of 1.8 million viewers from Day 1 on Nov. 13.
 
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, along with Jennifer Williams, a foreign service officer assigned to Vice President Pence’s office, testified on Tuesday morning, while former special envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker and top Russia adviser on the White House National Security Council Tim Morrison addressed lawmakers in the afternoon.
 
The number of total viewers for the morning session was approximately 11.4 million viewers, while the afternoon session attracted about 13 million viewers. 
 
Fox News was the most watched network for a third consecutive time for Tuesday’s coverage, delivering 2.45 million viewers on average throughout the day. MSNBC was second with an average of 2.3 million, with ABC taking third with 1.99 million. 
 
NBC was fourth with 1.94 million, with CBS and CNN rounding out the final to spots with 1.85 million and 1.6 million viewers, respectively.
