Lobbying World: Capitol Tax Partners snags longtime Treasury Department official

Tom West is joining Capitol Tax Partners as a partner. West was most recently deputy assistant secretary for tax policy at the Treasury Department, and he served in senior Treasury roles in under the Biden, Trump and Obama administrations.

Nathan McDaniel has joined the Texas Railroad Commission as director of government relations. McDaniel was most recently a manager at the marketing firm Proscalar and worked as campaign manager and district director for Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas).

Debbie Anderson-Brooke has been appointed president of Concordant, a policy and communications advisory firm under the Public Policy Holding Company (PPHC) umbrella. Anderson-Brooke, who spearheaded communications for Intel and Microsoft, will lead the firm’s West Coast operations and AI, Data and Robotics practice group.

Andrew Stern has also joined Concordant as vice president of media relations.

Pierre Atlas has joined the board of the gun violence prevention group 97Percent. Atlas is a senior lecturer at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University’s Indianapolis campus.

Mathieu Roskovensky has joined Narrative Strategies as the firm’s first chief financial officer. 

Alpine Group Principal Courtney Johnson has taken the lead on the firm’s health care policy practice following the retirement of Jay Hawkins.

Three years after its founding, Dentons Global Advisors is rebranding to DGA Group. The independent strategic advisory firm Albright Stonebridge Group will remain under the DGA Group umbrella.
