Amazon’s Wondery podcast studio inks deal with Kelce brothers
Wondery, the podcast studio owned by Amazon, has signed a deal with NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce.
The company announced the agreement Tuesday, saying it had secured the rights to the football brothers’ popular “New Heights” podcast.
Timed to the upcoming NFL season, Wondery has rights to monetize and distribute audio and video podcast episodes. “New Heights” will continue to be available widely on all podcast services, and now fans can listen early and ad-free on Wondery+, the company said.
The Hollywood Reporter, citing a person familiar with the agreement, reported the deal was worth nine figures and spans multiple years.
Jason Kelce retired from the NFL last season, and Travis Kelce is a tight end on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Travis Kelce became a subject of tabloid buzz and internet fame during the Chiefs recent Super Bowl run, in part due to his romantic relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, who herself is worth more than $1 billion, according to Forbes.
