Fox Nation host Britt McHenry announced she will undergo brain surgery on Wednesday, also tweeting thanks to her current and former colleagues at ESPN, Fox 5 in Washington, D.C., Fox News and The Federalist for their support.

“I have brain surgery today. I’ll be out recovering but had to say THANK YOU to former bosses, colleagues & friends from ESPN. Class act people. To @fox5dc, Fox News colleagues & @FDRLST for support. To EVERYONE reading this. Your kindness & words provided strength,” McHenry said in a post to her followers with the hashtag “#Fight.”

McHenry, 33, announced on Twitter last Thursday that she would undergo surgery this week to treat a brain tumor.

“I was trying to keep this relatively private. But as usual, things are being said without my consent,” McHenry wrote.

“I have a brain tumor. I’m with an amazing medical team and surgery is imminent. Thank you for continued support and understanding at this time,” she added.

She followed up with a tweet that she received “good & bad news” following an examination and urged her followers to get an MRI, regardless of age.

“Please I can’t stress enough, make your check-ups. Get an MRI early. It could have saved me,” she wrote.

McHenry was a sideline reporter with ESPN from 2014-2017. She signed with Fox Nation, the streaming service of Fox News, in 2018.
