Watch: Trump courts voters in ‘blue wall’ Michigan
Former President Trump made his 11th visit this election cycle to the critical swing state of Michigan on Thursday.
The campaign event in Saginaw, Mich., came less than a week after Trump spoke in suburban Detroit with remarks focused on the economy and crime. A man was charged earlier this week after claiming he had explosives in his car when he drove through a security checkpoint at the late September rally. Security around the former president has tightened after two assassination threats on his life.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls from the state shows Trump and Vice President Harris in a tight race, with Harris leading the GOP nominee by less than 1 point — 48.4 percent to 47.9 percent.
The former president’s remarks from Saginaw Valley State University were expected at 3 p.m. EDT.
