Watch live: Harris campaigns in Flint, Michigan
Vice President Harris will rally voters Friday evening in Michigan, as Democrats fight to protect the “blue wall” state from flipping in November.
The visit to Flint, Mich., comes after the Democratic presidential nominee gave remarks at a campaign stop in Detroit earlier in the day.
Michigan, a critical swing state in 2024, is known as the birthplace of organized labor. Harris, like President Biden, made supporting unions a central part of her campaign and has received endorsements from top labor groups.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls shows Harris and her GOP opponent, former President Trump, neck and neck in Michigan. The vice president holds a razor-thin lead with 48.3 percent support to Trump’s 48.1 percent.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
