Watch: JD Vance rallies voters in Detroit
Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), President Trump’s running mate, returned to battleground Michigan on Tuesday, rallying voters with remarks on the auto industry and economy in Detroit.
The visit comes less than a week after Vance visited the Great Lakes State following his debate against his Democratic opponent, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.). At that time, he spoke about manufacturing, electric vehicles and the need for secure elections.
Former President Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, will also visit Detroit later this week.
With the election less than a month away, Trump and Vice President Harris are virtually tied in the critical swing state — both with 48 percent support, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls.
Vance’s comments on Tuesday from Eastern Market are expected to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
