Watch live: Walz campaigns in ‘blue wall’ battleground Michigan

Democratic vice presidential hopeful Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is holding a campaign event Friday in Michigan, with just 25 days left until the election.

Walz’s latest visit to the state comes as Vice President Harris, his running mate, and the campaign struggle to find traction with unionized blue-collar workers in the critical battleground state. Polls have shown Harris underperforming with unions when compared to President Biden.

The governor is also expected to target former President Trump over his recent comments in Detroit.

The event also comes on the same day the campaign announced a media tour focused on reaching men and “blue wall” voters.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows Trump edging out Harris by less than 1 point in the Great Lakes State — 48.7 percent to 48.1 percent.

Walz’s remarks from Macomb County, Mich., are expected to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
