Trump: China’s Xi Jinping would handle Harris ‘like a baby’

Former President Trump in a Thursday interview challenged Vice President Harris’s ability to oversee foreign relations with China if elected president.

During an appearance on the conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt’s radio show, the Republican presidential nominee said Chinese President Xi Jinping would handle Harris “like a baby.”

“He’d take all the candy away very quickly,” Trump argued. “She wouldn’t have any idea what happened. It would be like a grand chess master playing a beginner.”

He then predicted U.S. relations with other countries would be damaged as a result of her leadership.

“We would lose our country or be in World War III. It could be that, that would happen too,” he told listeners.

Trump also criticized Harris’s performance at Wednesday’s CNN town hall, calling her remarks an “embarrassment.”

In recent weeks, Harris has worked to gain voters’ support on issues that include the economy. In a bid to win over more blue-collar workers, she vowed to ensure “America not China” wins the competition for the 21st century.
