Doctor’s grandchild interrupts his at-home MSNBC interview on live TV

A small child popped up in the background during an MSNBC interview with Dr. Irwin Redlener on Thursday.

As Redlener spoke to “Deadline: White House” anchor Nicole Wallace about the latest uptick in coronavirus cases in New York City, a child wandered into the background of his video feed and eventually climbed up on the chair behind him and stuck out his tongue.

The child, Redlener’s grandson, was eventually lifted from his spot by another person in the background and taken out of the frame amid the famous pediatrician and Wallace’s uproarious laughter.

“Oh boy,” Redlener exclaimed.

“This is the best thing that I’ve seen,” Wallace laughed. “You can talk about whatever you want.”

The comical interaction comes as New York City has seen an uptick in COVID-19 cases, particularly in areas of Brooklyn.
