Journalist Zaid Jilani joined Hill.TV’s “Rising” on Monday to examine the results of a Cato Institute survey that revealed Americans’ misgivings when it comes to sharing their political views with pollsters.
Jilani said that the survey had revealed that many white college-educated voters felt uncomfortable sharing views unless they described themselves as very liberal.
“What you found was… the white, college-educated Republican voters were actually much more worried about sharing their views than Democrats were. It was something like 25 percent of Democrats with a postgraduate degree say that they worried their political views could like, harm them at work,” he said.
