Cassie Smedile, former deputy communications director at the Republican National Committee (RNC), has joined America Rising PAC as executive director. Before the RNC, she was communications director for Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.), and ex-Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.).

America Rising PAC also named Chris Martin, former director of rapid response for the House Republican Conference under Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), as deputy executive director.

Grubhub Inc. announced that Devry Boughner Vorwerk joined the company as chief corporate affairs officer. Vorwerk previously was chief executive officer at her firm DevryBV Sustainable Strategies and before that was chair of the U.S.-Turkey Business Council at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Narrative Strategies named Zach Hunter a managing director. Hunter previously was vice president of the Congressional Leadership Fund and the American Action Network for two years. Before that, he was director of communications for Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and regional press secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Law and lobbying firm Dentons named Brad Queisser a principal in its public policy practice. Queisser previously was senior vice president at Bose Public Affairs Group, president of mCapitol Management and before that was deputy executive director at the Democratic National Committee.

Tyler Ford, a former lobbyist at McGuireWoods Consulting, is now a senior associate at The Vogel Group. He previously was a policy fellow for the Congressional Black Caucus in Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s (D-Texas) office and before that was an aide at the Department of Energy under former President Obama.

Cogent Strategies hired Edda Collins Coleman as a managing director. She previously was the associate director of communications and government affairs at the Executive Leadership Council. She also drove fundraising and voter turnout efforts through Women for Biden and Small Business for Biden.

Michael Best Strategies hired Lucia Alonzo and Mike Dankler as principals. Alonzo previously was chief of staff for lobbying firm Ferox Strategies and before that worked for the Podesta Group and as an aide to ex-Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). Dankler previously was chief of staff to Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.).
