Baby interrupts weather forecast: ‘He walks now’
A video of an infant interrupting his mom’s on-air weather forecast in California went viral this week.
ABC7 meteorologist Leslie Lopez was on air pointing to temperatures in Santa Clarita, Chino and a slate of other southern California cities when she began to laugh as her son, Nolan, was seen walking into the below-knee level of her broadcast.
“There’s a baby down below,” she joked, before picking him up and finishing her forecast.
“He walks now, guys, so I’ve lost all control,” Lopez added.

A slate of fellow female reporters and other Twitter users chimed in Thursday with support for Lopez on Twitter after the video went viral.

This is joyous and beautiful. And it shouldn’t feel like such a rarity.

With more news broadcasts and guest appearances taking place at home amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Nolan is not the first kid to make it on air. During an MSNBC interview with Irwin Redlener last year, his grandson was seen smiling at the camera over his grandfather’s shoulder.
“This is the best thing that I’ve seen,” anchor Nicole Wallace laughed at the time. “You can talk about whatever you want.”
