“For sure wise for elderly or immunocompromised to take the vaccine. Some debate about the second jab though. Quite a few negative reactions to that,” he said in March.
In September 2020, Musk in an interview with New York Times’s Kara Swisher also said he would not be taking the vaccine once one became available, arguing he and his children are not at risk and asserted the virus has a low mortality rate.
But in a tweet Wednesday, the billionaire appeared to clarify his stance on the critical vaccine needed to get a hold on the coronavirus pandemic.
To be clear, I do support vaccines in general & covid vaccines specifically. The science is unequivocal.

There have been reports of people experiencing allergic reactions, including serious episodes known as anaphylaxis, after being vaccinated.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in January said allergic reactions occurred at a rate of 11.1 cases per million doses for the Pfizer shot and 2.5 per 1 million for the Moderna shot. The majority of reactions occurred within 15 minutes of vaccination, and the National Institutes of Health has kicked off a study to determine the risk of such reactions linked to the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.
But public health officials maintain COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be safe and effective in providing protection against the disease and advise everyone eligible to receive the vaccine to do so as soon as possible.
