Poll: 56 percent approve of Biden’s handling of foreign affairs as he joins world leaders at G-7

A majority of voters approve of President Biden’s handling of foreign affairs, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.

Fifty-six percent of registered voters in the June 7-9 survey said they approve of the job Biden is doing on foreign affairs.

Forty-four percent of respondents said they disapprove of Biden’s handling of global issues.

Along party lines, 89 percent of Democrats approve of Biden’s handling of foreign affairs while 11 percent disapprove.

Seventy-seven percent of Republicans said they disapprove of Biden’s handling of global issues while 23 percent said they support him on the subject.

Biden sees 56 percent support among independents on the issue of foreign affairs while 44 percent disapprove.

Sixty-one percent of all voters approve of Biden’s overall job as president while 39 percent disapprove.

The survey comes as Biden joins world leaders at the Group of Seven (G-7) where he aims to shore up foreign alliances.

The most recent Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 1,885 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 2.26 percentage points.
