A woman has opened a restraining order against Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer, alleging Bauer repeatedly punched her in the face and other parts of her body during sex until she lost consciousness and used her hair to choke her, according to documents obtained by ESPN.
The 27-year-old woman asked the court to prohibit Bauer from coming within 100 yards of her and reportedly provided graphic details, including depictions of severe bruising, that occurred on two separate occasions. She added that she is “deeply concerned that no arrest has been made or charges filed.”
“I agreed to have consensual sex,” the woman stated under penalty of perjury. “However I did not agree or consent to what he did next. I did not agree to be sexually assaulted.”
The incidents allegedly occurred on April 21 and May 16.
A day after the second alleged incident, the woman, who was not named by ESPN due to the sensitivity of the allegations, reportedly went to the emergency room, where she was diagnosed with an “acute head injury” and “assault by manual strangulation.” She told San Diego police at the time she did not wish to file charges.

ESPN reported that Bauer plans to deny the woman’s accusations, and the order reportedly does not allow the accused to respond to allegations. Pasadena, Calif., police are currently investigating.
Sources told the outlet that a joint investigation between Major League Baseball and its players union has been opened against Bauer. Bauer previously denied the allegations in a statement in May.
“Mr. Bauer and [the woman] have not corresponded in over a month and have not seen each other in over six weeks. Her basis for filing a protection order is nonexistent, fraudulent, and deliberately omits key facts, information, and her own relevant communications,” a portion of the statement said, according to ESPN. “Any allegations that the pair’s encounters were not 100% consensual are baseless, defamatory, and will be refuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The order, according to the outlet, states that the woman is “absolutely terrified of what will happen when all of this becomes public because he is a large public figure. Trevor has a large following of loyal fans who I fear will threaten me and resort to social media bashing. I am concerned about my safety.”
