Nearly 100,000 pounds of raw chicken products recalled after bones found in patties

Close to 100,000 pounds of Trader Joe’s chicken patties and chicken sliders were recalled by a meat processing and packaging company.

The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Safety Inspection Service announced on Nov. 10 that Washington State-based Innovative Solutions Inc. was recalling two Trader Joe’s products: spinach feta chicken sliders and chile lime chicken burgers.

The company recalled the products, which were shipped nationwide, after customers complained about finding bones in the chicken patties.

The USDA announced in a press release that it has not received any reports of “adverse reactions” from the products. Still, the agency urged consumers with the product in their homes to throw the food out or return it.
