Staff moves fuel speculation on a presidential bid by Michele Bachmann

Rep. Michele Bachmann’s chief of staff is taking a leave of absence to accept an “exciting new position” working with the congresswoman, fueling speculation she will launch a presidential bid.

Andy Parrish, Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) top aide, wrote an email to co-workers Wednesday morning informing them of his move.

{mosads}”I wanted to let you know that after an enormous amount of prayer I have decided to take an exciting new position with Congresswoman Bachmann,” he wrote. “I will be able to tell you more about what I am doing in the near future.”

Parrish’s message indicates that he could take a position with a Bachmann presidential campaign.

On Tuesday, Bachmann made another move that indicates she is leaning
toward running: she hired Republican pollster Ed Goeas, according to The
Hotline daily briefing.

The conservative lawmaker has not yet announced whether she will run for president, but she is expected to travel to Iowa this month to announce her intentions.
