Ian Swanson is the managing editor of The Hill. He’s been a reporter and editor covering politics, Congress and international economic issues for the last 20 years. Ian joined The Hill as an international trade and economics reporter in 2007. He came to Washington from North Dakota, where he covered state politics for The Grand Forks Herald after founding and editing the state’s first alternative newspaper, The High Plains Reader.
