I’m the education reporter for The Hill. If there is any topic that affects students, teachers or the school system, I am on top of it. My favorite subjects to write about include artificial intelligence, how curriculum is changing and untraditional post-secondary education routes. I previously worked as a breaking news reporter and social media curator at The Hill.
I grew up in a rural town in Pennsylvania before completing my political science degree at the Pennsylvania State University of Altoona. Where I grew up influences my education reporting as my high school did not have any AP classes when I graduated and numerous classmates who decided community college, trade school or going into straight to the work force was best for their lives. It expanded my idea of what education looks like and the aspects of it that fall outside the popular public school to four-year college pipeline.
