Pelosi to deliver Letterman’s Top 10
There will be a familiar face helping David Letterman yuck it up on “The Late Show” on Tuesday: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The California Democrat will present a “special” Top 10 List on the CBS show, according to her office.
Pelosi is the latest in a string of politicians to lend their voice to the nightly comedy routine.
Last November, ahead of the presidential election, Vice President Biden delivered the “Top Ten Good Things About Voting Early”
Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney also did the honors back in 2011, while Michelle Obama read the list last year.
And then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) got in on the fun while on the campaign trail in 2008, reciting the “Top 10 Barack Obama Campaign Promises.”
UPDATE (8:05 p.m.): CBS has posted a preview of Pelosi’s Top 10 List, “Things You Never Knew About the House of Representatives.”
Among the sneak peeks on the list is #4: “Thanks to corporate sponsorship, Majority Whip now known as Miracle Whip” and #3: “Members tap silverware against water glasses to encourage the House leaders to kiss.”
