Cotton raises $1.35M, hits Pryor in new ad
Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) raised $1.35 million in the last three months, according to the Associated Press and is using some of that money to attack Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) as a liar.
{mosads}Cotton released his latest ad on Tuesday, pushing back against an attack ad aired by the Democratic-aligned Senate Majority PAC and accusing Pryor of being “unfaithful to the truth.”
Both campaigns have been up on the air, costing them early resources, though outside groups have dominated the airwaves in Arkansas.
Cotton’s campaign didn’t say how much cash it has in the bank. It had $2.2 million as of the end of 2013. He has topped $4.8 million in total fundraising since he jumped into the race.
Pryor has yet to release his fundraising numbers. He had $4.2 million in the bank as of the end of 2013.
Recent polls have found Pryor with a small lead in the heavily conservative state.
