Christie planning second Granite State trip
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is planning his second trip to New Hampshire in two months, a move likely to stoke speculation he’s planning to run for president.
{mosads}Christie will headline a New Hampshire Republican Party fundraiser at a New Hampshire Fishercats minor league baseball game, according to WMUR, on July 31 at 6 p.m. Tickets range from $45 to attend the game to $2,500 to watch the game with Christie.
The governor last visited the state in June in his role as chairman of the Republican Governors’ Association to raise money for GOP gubernatorial candidate Walt Havenstein.
He’s made no secret of his interest in the 2016 presidential race, but his standing in the party has suffered as his administration continues to face scrutiny surrounding lane closures on the George Washington Bridge.
