Perry’s PAC sells mug shot T-shirts

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s (R) federal PAC is giving away T-shirts with his mug shot plastered on the front to supporters who donate $25 to the group.

The move by RickPAC, created earlier this month, is the latest attempt to show that Perry is unfazed by his indictment on two felony counts handed down a little more than a week ago.

The front of the shirt shows Perry’s smiling mug shot with a bold, red-lettered “Wanted” above it.

“For securing the border and defeating Democrats,” the shirt reads.

The back of the shirt shows the mug shot of a disheveled Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, whose drunk driving arrest and conviction last year is at the center of Perry’s indictment.

Above her mugshot is the word “guilty.”

{mosads}“Driving while intoxicated and perversion of justice,” the shirt reads.

Perry, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, is pushing back on felony charges that he abused his powers by attempting to force Lehmberg to resign after her arrest. The governor had threatened to veto funding for a public integrity unit in her office unless she did so. She refused to step down and Perry vetoed the money.

He pleaded not guilty earlier this week.

Perry’s PAC has also released a web video earlier in the week featuring unflattering police footage of Lehmberg’s drunk driving arrest and detention last year.
