GOP picks up retiring McIntyre’s seat in NC

Republican State Sen. David Rouzer has cruised to victory over Democratic challenger Jonathan Barfield in North Carolina, earning nearly 60 percent of the vote.

{mosads}Rouzer helps the GOP pick up a seat formerly held by Democratic Rep. Mike McIntyre, who is retiring after 17 years in the House.

The newly elected Republican fell to McIntyre two years ago in the closest matchup between House candidates.
