Steve King secures seventh term in Iowa

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) cruised to his seventh term on Tuesday, notching a victory against Democratic challenger Jim Mowrer.

The firebrand Republican, who is a thorn in the side of the party’s leadership in Congress, earned 63 percent of the vote with 76 percent of precincts counted, according to The Associated Press.
