C-SPAN calling mom joins Twitter

Oh God, Brad and Dallas Woodhouse: your mom’s now on Twitter.
 
Joyce Woodhouse, the woman behind one of C-SPAN’s most memorable phone calls, joined the site on Thursday.
 
The mother to siblings (and political rivals) Brad, a former Democratic National Committee communications director, and Dallas, founder of the Republican-boosting Carolina Rising, became a viral sensation after surprising her sons during their joint C-SPAN appearance on Tuesday.
 
“Oh God, it’s mom,” Dallas said to brother Brad when he recognized the Raleigh, N.C. resident’s voice when “Washington Journal” host Steve Scully opened up the phone lines to viewer calls.
 
Woodhouse scolded her kids for their partisan bickering over the holidays, saying, “I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was a year that you two were supposed to go to your in-laws.”
 
She continued, “I’m hope you’ll have some of this out of your system when you come here for Christmas. I would really like a peaceful Christmas. And I love you both.”
 
With the handle “@mamawoodhouse” on Twitter, and a snapshot of her posing with her two sons as her profile photo, Woodhouse sent out her first tweet, writing:
